About Camp SVBJJ
Camp SVBJJ is an 11 week camp dedicated to the improvement of every camper involved by pushing their limits and helping them strive to succeed. Throughout our 11 week camp, participants will gain confidence in themselves by learning and developing skills that they’ll need in real life scenarios such as medical aide and outdoor survival as well as martial art skills such as Jiu Jitsu and “Old School” Karate.

Owner/Head of Staff
Adam Smith is the owner of Spokane Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He’s a black belt in Kenpo Karate and Jiu Jitsu, an EMT, and a firefighter. Other than his passion for the martial arts, he has really dedicated his life to teaching others and helping them grow – especially children. He really enjoys having fun and teaching the kids the various skills learned throughout summer camp.
Brady Hiestand is a black belt in Kenpo Karate, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and is a Red Cross certified lifeguard as well as a firefighter. He really loves working with kids and see them grow and their experiences widen. He loves traversing across trails in search of some adventure and loves the thrill of success.
Instructor/Staff: Crafts and Journaling
Charlotte McKinley is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a green belt in American Kenpo Karate, and is a Red Cross certified lifeguard. She really enjoys the adventures that are experienced at Summer Camp. She strives to make sure that the kids are having fun throughout the day and is happy when they go home with stories to tell from camp.
Kaidn is 11 years old and his favorite week was Parkour Week! He really enjoyed learning how to jump properly as well as realizing that parkour is whatever he wants it to be. He looks forward to coming back next year!Kaidn Montgomery-Jones
Breanne Jones is Kaidn’s mother. She really liked the various lessons that Kaidn learned throughout the summer – especially the lessons leaned during Medical Week. She says that the team is great and really dedicated to helping the kids succeed.Breanne Jones
