Youth Jiu Jitsu
About Youth Jiu-Jitsu
Adam Smith and Brady Hiestand are the instructors for the Youth Jiu Jitsu classes. They encourage the kids to do their best and hold each child up to a certain standard regardless if they are 4 or 14. The kids start by lining up, bowing in, and doing about five minutes of cardio. After, they do about five minutes of basic drills. After all of the warmup drills, the students learn some different Jiu Jitsu techniques.

About Jiu-Jitsu Classes
Our Jiu-Jitsu classes typically begin with a 10-15 minute warmup to get everyone ready for class. Next, we will jump into learning some specific techniques and/or positions. The Instructor will demonstrate and discuss the movements with another student several times to give everyone an opportunity to commit the basics to memory and ask any questions. Once the instructor is confident that everyone is ready to give it a try we will partner up and commence drilling the technique, which simply means practicing it with your partner. The instructor will walk around the class to help students make any needed adjustments and to answer questions. After we’ve completed drilling the technique we’ll likely build off of what has been learned thus far. Finally, we almost always wrap the class up with 15-45 minutes of live sparring.
